Patient Information
Please bring the following to your appointment:
- Insurance cards
- Co-pay as required by your insurance
- A current medication list
- Your current glasses
- An interpreter or translator if necessary
- Sunglasses or a driver if you are sensitive to light when dilated
- For a contact lens visit, you must wear your lenses in to the visit
A typical office visit takes about half an hour to an hour. Your visit may take longer if you require additional diagnostic testing or are a new patient to our practice.
Once you've checked in at the reception desk, a technician will review your history, check your vision and intraocular pressure and perform any diagnostic tests requested by the Doctor. If necessary, your eyes will then be dilated.
In the exam room, your Doctor will thoroughly examine your eyes and recommend a treatment plan if necessary. If a laser or surgical treatment is recommended, many can be performed in office. For those that require outside facilities, ROG providers are affiliated with the following hospitals:
Rochester Ophthalmological Group participates with many insurance plans. At the time of your visit, we ask that you pay any co-pay as required by your insurance.
If you do not have insurance, or services are not covered by your plan, we ask that you pay in full at the time of your visit. If this is not possible, please contact our billing department to discuss alternate payment options prior to your visit.
ROG accepts checks, cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and debit cards.
We accept Care Credit® for certain procedures. Contact our billing department for more details.
Our providers participate with several insurance plans and will submit claims on your behalf.
